About the Role
Showoff is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our remote working team. As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for writing great code to support our clients applications and working collaboratively with our clients and teams to deliver innovative and quality products. The position is based in Ireland, working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop applications as part of an agile team
- Collaborate with clients, business analysts, designers, QA engineers and various stakeholders
- Contribute to best practice system and application design
- Promote leading practices and continuous improvement with TDD, CI/CD pipelines and effective release management strategies
- Provide technical support and promote a culture of continuous improvement and sharing knowledge
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise in API development using Ruby on Rails
- Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Experience in Heroku, AWS, or similar technologies is preferred
- Prior experience working within a software consultancy, delivering best in class solutions for clients
- A passion for technical leadership and quality
- A nice to have would be front end development expertise using one of our typically used technologies - React, Next.js, Typescript
